Which channels can I sell on?

A short, honest rundown of which sales channels are live in GridX Connect today (eBay US, eBay UK, eBay Germany and autotek.ae) and which are still coming soon.

Which channels are live today

GridX Connect is built for selling car and truck parts on eBay Motors. Three eBay marketplaces are live and ready to use: eBay US (ebay.com, priced in USD), eBay UK (ebay.co.uk, priced in GBP) and eBay Germany (ebay.de, priced in EUR). All three run off a single eBay seller account, connected on the Channels page.

A second channel, autotek.ae, is the UAE marketplace for car parts, priced in AED. It is offered by seller location. If it is offered to you, an autotek.ae card appears on the Channels page under the eBay card. See Connect your autotek.ae store.

Other channels are on the way but are not usable yet. Once your eBay account is connected, the Channels page shows eBay Australia marked Coming soon, and a "More sales channels" slot that names Amazon and Shopify, also Coming soon. You cannot connect or list to any of these today.

If your plan mentions a number of channels (for example "5 channels" on Plus), that is the number you will be able to use as more channels go live. It does not mean five channels work today.

Before you start

  • Company admin access to connect a channel. Connecting is admin-only.
  • An eBay seller account. The same account covers eBay US, eBay UK and eBay Germany.
  • Your seller location. It is the first card on the Channels page, under Account settings, and it decides which channels you can connect.

Steps

  1. Open Channels in the left sidebar.
  2. Under Account settings, check your Seller location. If it reads Seller location not configured, click Set Location.
  3. On the eBay card, click Connect to link your eBay account (admin only).
  4. Look at the Marketplaces grid. A marketplace you sell on reads Live, and your main store carries a Primary badge. One you can add reads Available, with an Enable button. For the full walkthrough, see Sell on eBay UK.
  5. Any marketplace or channel marked Coming soon cannot be selected yet. Check back as it goes live.

What is live and what is coming

A coming-soon marketplace shows Coming soon on the Channels page and has no button. The page describes the future channels this way: "Amazon, Shopify and more will each connect as its own channel alongside eBay, with its own marketplaces." So when they arrive, they will not replace eBay. They sit next to it, each with its own listings.

How channels relate to your plan

The plan page lists how many channels each plan can use:

  • Free: eBay only.
  • Pro: multi-channel.
  • Plus: 5 channels.
  • Enterprise: unlimited channels.

Amazon and Shopify are not open yet, so that part of the allowance simply waits. When a new channel opens, it appears on the Channels page ready to connect, subject to your plan.

If something goes wrong

  • A marketplace shows "Coming soon" and has no button. It is not available yet. Today you can connect eBay US, eBay UK and eBay Germany.
  • There is no autotek.ae card. The card shows only when the channel is offered for your seller location. Check the Seller location card at the top of the Channels page.
  • "Connect eBay first" / "Open Channels to link your eBay account." You tried to publish to eBay before connecting eBay. Open the Channels page and connect your eBay account. If you publish several parts at once with no channel connected, the message reads "Connect a channel first" / "Open Channels to link eBay or autotek.ae."
  • There is no Connect button, or you see "Only admins can modify". Connecting a channel is admin-only, and so is saving the seller location and the business policies. On the autotek.ae card the message reads "Only an account admin can connect or disconnect a sales channel." Ask a company admin, or ask to be made one.
