Connect your autotek.ae store

Open a store on autotek.ae, the UAE marketplace for car parts, from the Channels page, and see what happens while it waits for approval.

What connecting autotek.ae does

autotek.ae is the UAE marketplace for car parts. In GridX Connect it is a sales channel of its own, next to eBay. You open a store on autotek.ae from the Channels page, and once the store is approved you publish parts there with the same Publish controls you use for eBay. Prices on autotek.ae are in AED.

You do not need an eBay account to sell on autotek.ae.

> [!NOTE] > The autotek.ae card shows only when the channel is offered to you. Your Seller location, the first card on the Channels page, decides which channels you can connect. If you do not see the card, the channel is not offered for your location.

Before you start

  • Company admin access. Staff see the card with the note "Only an account admin can connect or disconnect a sales channel."
  • Your seller location saved on the Channels page, under Account settings. If that card reads "Set your eBay business policies first (in the eBay card below).", save your eBay business policies first.
  • Your store details to hand: the store name buyers will see, a contact email, a phone number and your address.

Steps

  1. Open Channels from the left sidebar.
  2. Find the autotek.ae card. It reads "List your parts on the UAE marketplace, alongside eBay." Click Connect.
  3. The Connect autotek.ae window opens with the line "We will create a vendor account for you on autotek.ae. Buyers see your store name, so check the details below." Check every field. Some are filled in for you, and you can change them. A red star marks a field you must fill in. Choose your emirate from the list.
  4. Click Connect. The window shows Creating your store on autotek.ae… and "This takes around 15 seconds. Please keep this open."
  5. The card now shows your store and its status. A new store waits for approval, because autotek.ae approves new stores by hand.
  6. GridX Connect checks for approval each time you open the Channels page. To check at once, click Check again on the card. Until the store is approved, you see "No change yet. autotek.ae approves new stores manually." or "Just checked a moment ago. This is the latest status." When it is approved, you see You are connected to autotek.ae.

After your store is approved

Two links appear on the card:

  • Visit your store opens your storefront on autotek.ae.
  • Store admin panel opens your own panel on autotek.ae, with your orders and store settings. You sign in there with your store contact address. The password came in autotek.ae's welcome email when your store was approved. If you never set one, use the password reset on autotek.ae.

Publish parts to autotek.ae

As soon as you connect, a part's page shows an autotek.ae row. Once your store is approved you can publish: autotek.ae shows up next to your eBay marketplaces in the Publish to window and in the Publish listings window for many parts. Publishing, revising and ending are company-admin actions, as on eBay.

  • A part needs a weight. autotek.ae asks for a photo, a price, stock and a weight. eBay does not need a weight, so this is the one most parts are missing. The autotek.ae row on the part's page lists what is missing and keeps its publish icon switched off until you fix it. The weight line has a Package details link that takes you to the package details section of the part, where you enter the weight.
  • One run publishes up to 1,000 parts on autotek.ae. For a larger selection, the window says so and you run Publish again for the rest.
  • The price is in AED. It is converted from your USD price at a fixed rate. To set an AED price of your own for a part, open the part, choose the AE tab and type a price in Price (AED). That price then stays as you set it and no longer follows your USD price.
  • A quantity of 0 ends the listing. If you set a part's quantity to 0, autotek.ae takes its listing down at once. When you do this on the part's page or with bulk Edit, your eBay listing for that part is not changed and can still sell, so end it too if you want sales to stop.

Update or end a listing

On a part's page, the autotek.ae row has the same small icons as the eBay rows. The revise icon reads Send your latest edits to autotek.ae when you point at it, and the end icon reads End autotek.ae listing. Ending from the part's page happens at once, with no confirm window, and you see Listing ended on autotek.ae. To end many listings, use End in the Inventory bulk-actions bar, which opens the End listings window.

Disconnect or reconnect

To disconnect, click Disconnect on the card and confirm Disconnect autotek.ae? The window explains: "This only removes the link from GridX Connect. Your autotek.ae store, your vendor account and anything already listed there stay exactly as they are. Reconnecting later brings you back to the same store."

To reconnect, click Connect on the card again. A Reconnect autotek.ae window shows your store and its contact address. Click Reconnect. Nothing new is created, and you are linked to the same store.

If something goes wrong

  • There is no autotek.ae card. The channel is not offered for your seller location. Check the Seller location card at the top of the Channels page.
  • "Only an account admin can connect or disconnect a sales channel." Ask a company admin to connect the store, or ask to be made one.
  • "Already in use on autotek.ae." under the email field. That address already has an account on autotek.ae. Type a different address and click Connect again.
  • "This one needs a hand from us". A store with these details already exists on autotek.ae, so connecting again will not fix it. Click Email support and we will link the accounts for you.
  • "We could not check your autotek.ae connection." Nothing has changed on your side. Click Try again in a moment.
  • "Could not check with autotek.ae" after Check again. Wait a moment, then click Check again once more.
  • The card shows Contact support in place of Check again. The store cannot finish connecting by itself. Click Contact support and we will sort it out with you.
  • A part reads "We are re-checking the connection to your autotek.ae store. Try again in a few minutes." This clears by itself. Publish again after a few minutes.
