How fitment works

Vehicle compatibility, and why it matters for your listings.

Fitment is the list of vehicles a part fits - the years, makes, models and engines. eBay uses it to show your part to buyers who filter by their vehicle, so good fitment means more of the right traffic.

Where fitment comes from

When you add a part, GridX Connect looks up the part number and attaches verified compatibility data automatically. You can review and edit it on the item.

eBay US and eBay UK use different data

• eBay US uses ePID vehicle records.
• eBay UK uses K-Type records.

Each marketplace is sent the format it expects, so you do not need to maintain two lists by hand.
