Add fitments to live eBay listings with FitX

FitX finds eBay listings you already have live with no vehicle compatibility, works out the vehicles, and pushes the list up to eBay.

FitX adds vehicle compatibility to eBay listings you already have live but which carry no compatibility data. It pulls in a copy of your eBay catalogue, finds the listings that qualify, works out each one's vehicles from its part number and brand, and pushes the finished list straight to the live listing.

FitX works on your existing eBay listings only. It does not touch parts you created in GridX Connect — those already have a Vehicle Compatibility card on the part, and that is where you review or tidy them.

It is also gated twice: FitX is company-admin only, and it needs a plan that includes it. Staff accounts and plans without it see the sidebar item locked.

Before you start

You must be a company admin. Staff accounts see "FitX is an admin-only feature".
Your plan must include FitX. On plans without it the sidebar item is greyed with a lock and a "Pro" badge.
An eBay channel must be connected in Settings, and the first eBay sync must finish before Scan eBay unlocks.
Each listing you want processed needs a valid Part Number (MPN) and Brand on eBay. Listings missing either cannot be looked up.

Steps

Open FitX from the sidebar.
Wait for the first sync. FitX pulls a copy of your eBay catalogue on its own, showing "Syncing eBay Inventory" with a percent and "~{n} min left". On a large catalogue this takes a few minutes. When it finishes, the banner collapses to a green Synced pill.
Click Scan eBay. It is near-instant, because it reads the copy already pulled, and it fills the list with the listings that qualify.
Set your filter and search first, then tick the rows you want — changing either afterwards clears your selection.
Click Process. GridX Connect works out each listing's vehicles from its part number and brand. A "Processing fitments — {done} / {total}" bar tracks the run.
Optionally, click the eye icon on a finished row to open Proposed Fitments and check or tidy the vehicles before they go up.
Tick the rows you want to publish and click Apply to eBay. Rows move to a green Pushed badge once the compatibility is live.

Which listings qualify

A scan only returns listings FitX can actually work with. To be looked up, a listing needs a valid Part Number (MPN) and a Brand on eBay — those are what the vehicle match is built from.

Listings missing either come back as Ineligible. Click the info icon on the row and follow the numbered "How to fix:" steps: add the missing details in eBay Seller Hub, click Refresh on the FitX sync banner to re-pull your catalogue, then Scan eBay again.

A listing can also have perfectly good details and still find nothing. That comes back as Skipped, which means no compatibility data could be found for that part number. There is nothing to fix on the listing itself; you can try processing it again later.

Use Refresh on the sync banner any time you change listings on eBay. FitX works from its copy of your catalogue, so changes made in Seller Hub are not visible until you re-pull.

Selecting listings without losing your selection

The list is flat, 50 rows to a page, with one filter dropdown and a search box above it. The dropdown offers All items, Pending, Ready, Pushed, No fitments and Failed, each with a live count.

Tick rows individually, or use the header checkbox to take the whole page. When a full page is ticked, a banner offers Select all {total} items, capped at 5,000. Past that you get "Selection limited" with a partial pick, and you work through the rest in a second batch.

> [!TIP] > Changing the filter or typing in the search box clears your selection. It is deliberate — an action should never run on rows you can no longer see — so set your filter and search first, and tick your rows last.

Processing and applying both run in the background. The progress bar is safe to refresh, and you can leave the page and come back later without losing the run.

Statuses and what to do about them

On the Failed filter the Process button relabels itself as Retry — it is the same action. Note that Push failed has no bucket of its own in the filter dropdown, so push failures cannot be listed that way.

Previewing and editing before you apply

Click the eye icon in the Actions column of any processed row to open Proposed Fitments. It shows the item card, a "{n} vehicle compatibilities" count, and the full vehicle table. The icon appears only on rows that have finished processing.

Inside the preview, click Edit to remove rows you do not agree with and add notes. Notes here are capped at 800 characters, which is more than the 500 you get on a part's own fitments. Save Changes keeps your edits; Cancel drops them with no prompt.

Previewing is optional. Apply to eBay *is* the sign-off — there is no separate approve or reject step, so any item sitting at Ready goes straight up when you apply it. If you want to check the proposed vehicles first, do it before you apply, not after.

Once an item shows the green Pushed badge it becomes read-only and the Edit button disappears. Use View on eBay to check what landed, and make any further changes to that listing in eBay Seller Hub.

If something goes wrong

Scan eBay is greyed out. The first copy of your eBay catalogue is still being pulled in. Wait for the banner to turn into a green Synced pill.

My selection disappeared. Changing the filter or typing in the search box clears it. Set both first, then tick your rows.

A run stopped part-way with a message about eBay's daily budget. eBay's own daily allowance was reached mid-run. Those listings are not lost — they stay Pending or remain applyable, and you can retry them once the allowance resets.

Lots of rows failed at once. Switch the filter to Failed, tick them and press Retry. If they keep failing, check the info icon on a row for the reason, or use Download CSV on the amber issues banner to export the full problem breakdown from your most recent scan.
