The yard tax
A part you can’t find is a part you don’t have.
Most yards outgrow the whiteboard long before they outgrow the excuse for it.
The part is here somewhere
A buyer calls, the part is in the system, and finding it still means walking the rows. Every minute of that is margin.
Handwriting doesn’t scale
Marker on a bumper works for ten parts. At a few hundred it smudges, falls off, or nobody can read whose shorthand it was.
Two systems, one truth
A spreadsheet for stock and a separate flow for selling means keying the same part twice — and the two drift apart the day you stop being careful.
Physical first
Every part gets a place and a label.
GridX Connect is inventory software for salvage yards that starts where the work does — on the floor. Pull a part, record it against the vehicle it came from, give it a shelf location, and print a label with the part number, the description and where it lives.
How it works
Teardown to labelled shelf, in three steps.
Add the vehicle
Scan a salvage VIN and it decodes in 1–3 seconds, or enter the vehicle by hand. Every part you pull stays grouped under the car it came from.
Work the parts
Name each part and GridX Connect finds its OEM number. Set price, quantity and condition notes as you go — no catalog lookup, no part number hunting.
Shelve it and label it
Push the batch to your inventory, give each part its shelf location, and print the label on your own printer. The part is now findable by number, name or location.
No channel required
Online is a switch you flip later, not a requirement.
Run it as your stock system and nothing else. The selling side is there the day you want it.
Find any part in seconds
Search your whole yard by part number, part name, vehicle or shelf location. The answer to "do we have one, and where" stops being a walk around the lot.
One record, not two
The part on the shelf and the part in the system are the same entry. Nothing gets re-keyed, so nothing drifts out of sync.
Online when you’re ready
Connect eBay Motors whenever it suits you and your existing parts publish with fitment already attached. Until then, it’s simply your stock list.
