Fix a failed listing

What to do when eBay rejects a listing.

When eBay rejects a listing, the item shows an Error status. The error tells you exactly what eBay objected to.

Steps

  1. In Inventory, filter by Errors in the attention bar.
  2. Click the error on an item to open the details.
  3. Fix what eBay reported on the item.
  4. Publish the item again.

Common causes

  • No images - add at least one photo.
  • Business policies missing or invalid - set shipping, returns and payment in Channels.
  • Invalid price or quantity - both must be greater than zero.
  • Category or fitment problems - review the fitment data on the item.
